Here are the cards given out at the Animated series presentation and at the Warner Brothers booth (they very similar but the lay out is slightly different). I got one of the cards signed by all of the folks above:

Thanks Kev!

Besides the tidbits from the actual presentation that have already been covered elsewhere, here's some info I gleamed from talking to the cast and crew: - They're hoping to get new Legion rings made - They're working on toys/merchandising, but they probably won't be done in time for the Fall premiere of the show (at the end of September) - They've recorded a lot of the voice work already - There probably won't be much blatent romantic activity between a certain lad and a girl - Lightning powered relatives should make an appearance - Timber Wolf does change size/form - Bouncing Boy's limbs kind of pop in and get rounded out in his ball form - The Legion is a sizeable group, past what is seen in the previews - The crew should be getting/should have gotten the first episode back from the animators - Andy, who plays Lightning Lad, is a big Legion fan who I invited to come join us here when he had a chance
Cali and I went up to the microphone during the presentation to ask questions but we were turned away because time ran out. What were you gonna ask Cali?
That's all I can remember for now...

Do you have a UPN station? Eventually WB and UPN will be CW. Places without one should have the other. If not we have methods to make sure you don't miss out.

Nope no UPN station here. However it looks like I'll be moving at the end of Aug so I maybe in luck at the new locale. If not other methods sounds awesome to me....I'd hate to have to wait for the DVD. Thanks LL

No problem Deddy. Have TiVo, will burn.

By the way, I figure I can reveal that the guy I know that's in the cast is none other than Yuri Lowenthal. Sorry boys, he's married. He is however, one of the funniest people I've ever met. He's in a sketch comedy group with my roommate and he kills onstage.

It's a special treat to be able, eventually, to put faces with the voices -- thanks, Kevin!
Also, as to Bouncing Boy's actor -- and, I'd say, Saturn Girl's actress, as well -- resembling their characters:
Many of the computer-animated feature films videotape the actors recording their lines. Their visible reactions are often used as a guide to shaping the facial and upper-body expressions. (See, for example, Eddie Murphy as Donkey in "Shrek.") I'd be surprised if this wasn't done here, even with its being far less involved animation.

Anyone got an extra or two of the card that has all that writing on the back? A friend of mine who went to SD got the one that was blank on the back.
He also told me tonight that he bought a banner from somewhere, and he got some new cards that we've never seen, plus some t-shirts. I have no idea what he's talking about with the banner and shirts, but here is the front and back of the card (also about 5x8). They're labeled SDCC but I'm not sure if that's right.
Please don't repost or publicize these until I can find out more info.
Posted by Nightcrawler on :
I never saw these at SDCC.
Posted by Lightning Lad on :
Unlike the smaller group card with the same info on the back, this one has the updated press release. This one seems more likely a SDCC release than the other one. Maybe they ran out of this one early and gave out ones left over from the Licensing Show.

They also spelled "Cornacchia" wrong on the back of the card.

I found out some more... at the end of the con Sunday, at the WB booth they were basically selling everything, including the banners because they weren't going to be supporting any other conventions. My friend bought the Legion banner (which you can see as the third picture down on this page). The WB rep sent him not only the card you see here above (don't know where these will be used) but also some t-shirts (don't know what those look like yet, and don't know if they're "official" or just made up for the convention). The cards and shirts arrived already, and he's still waiting on the banner. I'm pretty sure he'll be sending me one, and when I get my care package with all the other SD stuff I'll scan it all.
Maybe we'll see these cards in Chicago this weekend.

Lucky dog, getting a banner. I was wondering if they sold them or what after the convention season was over. I'd even love one of the stand up they had, there's room in my basement for it. Can't wait to see what the t-shirt may look like.
Posted by Michael Grabois on :
The banners were all for sale for $999; someone bought the Teen Titans one for that. My friend said that was too much for the Legion banner but he'd give $500 for it (which was his splurge purchase of the con). After the reps made some phone calls, about 30 minutes later they said he could have it for that. While waiting for them to ring up the sale, he asked for some of the cards that you posted (with the picture and writing on the back), and the rep said she'd throw some cards and a couple of t-shirts in with it. I'll post pictures of whatever I can.

They were at the WB booth, and given out at the panel. I thought everyone had one, or I'da grabbed some more for you an anyone else.

I'm not super-crazy about the art style on this series, although I guess I could learn to like it. I had the same trepidation about the manga-ized Titans, and ended up LOVING that show.
Still, I suspect it will take real effort to reconcile with Chameleon-Head Brainiac.
UGG!

April Winchell, daughter of the late Paul Winchell.

As in the Donut Winchells?!

Nope, that was Verne Winchell, no relation that I'm aware of. April's father Paul was a famous ventriliquist as well as the voice of Tigger in Winnie the Pooh.

Who would I have to kill for one of those t-shirts? ..or is that ine of those time travelers only options?.. -sigh-

Hey Kev. Your pictures of the cast made The Comic Reel over at CBR today. Just a link to this thread, not the actual pics themselves.
