I have a question about Comet Queen. I don't know much about her, but I loved the old description of her powers - "Emits Comet Gases". It looks like her scalp is open to expose that Comet Gas emitting portion of her skull. When she's not emitting gases, do those skin flaps close up to give her skull a normal appearance. I would think that if they didn't, she'd be awfully dangerous to be around.

But, I have read or seen on specials, that one of the major components that comets leave in their trails is water crystals/vapor. If that's true, people would certainly get mighty uncomfort around her, awake or asleep, deadly or not!
Last issue of .REBELS.
I honestly loved that series, faults and all. sigh
Nice to see Wolf on the cover. Is that Sun Emperor or Sun Killer (Lazon is in a different group, sigh)? I can't see how big he is. Does SE get thinner as his sun energies are used?

Not sure. I've think we've always seen something coming from her head resembling a comet tail...interesting question.
Although, you know Lardy is gonna have a field day with the whole emitting gasses thing...just saying.

I wonder if this is a harbinger of more cancellations to come, plus we have a fill-in for Jiminez already.

Well there goes two more off my list. I'm now down to Adventure, Legion, Flash and Green Lantern. If they cancel the Legion books, I'm done with comics.

The sad thing is, Kory probably about that big when she was first introduced (but more curvaceous), now that EVERY comic book female has a huge rack, she doesn't really stand out. I miss her huge hair too!
I agree about that being an awesome rendition of CQ too, but I always remembered her as being kind of flat-chested and not at all conventionally attractive....it's a shame most comic artists don't actually draw different body types anymore...

That looks to be Sun Emperor battling T-Wolf on the cover, which surprises me that SE is around with the introduction of Sun Killer. Both LSH and Adventure covers look great, and I personally am interested in getting the Comet Queen single issue.
The five titles listed by Superboymmdjr that are soon to be canceled is rumored to be making room for some of the Flashpoint mini-series' upcoming, as well as due to poor sales.
I think the art and writing make REBELS one of the best DC titles out there, and I will be sad to see it go. Although I think Starro returning so soon was a mistake, I now think Mr. Bedard wanted to tell that story while he had the chance. The secondary characters such as Wildstar, Ciji, Xylon, Bounder, Tribulus, and the Khund will have to wait to have their stories told another time.

Glad to see Sun Emperor on the cover and hoping that means other former members of the LSV will show up to join or create a wrinkle for Saturn Queen's new group. Some Sun Killer and Sun Emperor interaction would be great.
I'd be surprised if Comet Queen's expanded origin covers a full issue, and imagine that we'll at least get brief scenes of her Academy teammates or instructors hopefully with their own ongoing plots.
While I've enjoyed REBELS since its inception, I always imagined it'd be a short run. It lasted longer than I expected and I'm grateful for it. Was hoping that including Adam Strange, Starfire, and Lobo and giving them such panel-time would be a necessary evil to keep the book going - looks like it worked a little, but not much. A shame about all the 'minor' new REBELS that Kid Quislet previously mentioned. They all had great potential but ultimately added little to the book. I'm unsure if any of them outside of maybe Tribulus (for the visual) will turn up again, even if L.E.G.I.O.N. cameos in other DC events.
