So I have been bugging about the 31st century Validus and 21st century Tribulus, who have similar powers, and sometimes similar graphic representations, in the same way that Mon-El and Superman are similar.
I noted to myself that the roots of Validus and Tribulus are also found in the words "Validation" and "Tribulation".
Since I have had a lot of time on my hands these days recovering from a recent surgery, I have been looking for other words in English ending with "ation" and replacing the suffix with "us".
I will not bore you with the entire list of 1,990 words, but will note that it runs from Nation => Nus to Overintellextualization => Overintellectualizus.

Validus is not really the creation of Garth and Imra, but of Darkseid. The origins of Tribulus are unknown at present; he might be another of Darkseid's projects, or he might be the template from which Validus was formed from Garridan. Or he might be just a coincidence.
