Tired of the way those snobby Batman fans talk down at you?

Had enough of those X-Men freaks babbling about how awesome their movies were?

Are you done taking whatever Legion-related scraps DC deems to slip you under the table?

Enough's enough!

No more Mister (or Miss) Nice Nerd!

Slap on your fatigues and join the cause!

So, what's the first objective?

Posted by MLLASH on :

Whatever you want-- we're MILITANT!

Posted by Dain on :

OK, here's one: I'm sick and tired of hearing nonsense like "The Legion has so many characters that it's not reader-friendly"
Well, exsqueeze me! Has anyone counted how many characters, semi-characters, alternate dimension characters who resemble this dimesion's characters, alternate dimension characters who resemble no one but pop-up every second issue anywhere there are in other titles? The Legion had 25 main characters at most!
I say, that should be our first objective. Show them forcefully that the Legion is "NOT inaccessible and reader-unfriendly" and get them to understand that you don't have to know the entire history of a gazillion team-ups and "special events" to understand what went on in *one* issue!

And something else: If I hear once more that the Legionnaires have "silly names" because they are called "boys" and "girls", I'm gonna....

Actually I think it's the lad/lass thing that turns them off more than boy/girl. [Wink]

Hey I can't imagine Element Lad with any other codename! (that said I like some of the ZH "cool" names)

Posted by Fat Cramer on :

Commandante Lash! I want to wear starfield fatigues and fight for the return of R.J. Brande, by damn!

Posted by Ultra Jorge on :

I will not rest until Quislet returns to the Legion!!!

Posted by Language Arts Lad on :

I want to be able to buy Soder Cola at the local Safeway!

Posted by Novelty on :

I know Lash has fans, and when I read this topic, I wondered why did he want them to be militant... probably because of all those militant Quis fans out there [Razz]

Boy, Girl, Lad, Lass, Damsel. They are historical names for the Legion and I'm not about to condone "sacrilege" from "them" another minute. [Razz] [Wink]

Element Lad is an alliterative name so maybe it doesn't sound that silly to "them". "Element Lord"? Hmm....

First, as far as DC is concerned, I demand that the 31st century Legion exists on ALL 52 earths. Earth 5 has its universe ruled by a crazy Brainiac 5 and his Miracle Machine. Earth 13 has the Subs as Legionnaires and THEY get to reject the normal Legionnaires (Polar Boy - "Sorry, Saturn Girl, our missions are too dangerous for a girl. You're rejected." Saturn Girl - "I knew you were going to say that... *sob*").

Also, DC demands to Marvel Logan/Wolverine gets a permanent crew cut so as not to be infringing on the Timber Wolf trademark - or mega damages should be paid!!!

By the way, after posting here at Legion World for a few years, I never figured MLLASH to be militant.

Has the medication changed, or something?

[LOL] [LOL]

I also demand the return of Nightcrawler *and* Storm to the Legion, the official formation of the Outsiders and the Strangers and a special Legion/Imperial Guard mini series!

Can we get Legion militant fans to agree on anything? [Smile] The answer is no but we will stay militant!

Viva la Legion!

Posted by Dain on :

First the demands. Then we'll make a list, write a few propaganda pieces for the media and form a plan. [Wink]

I have militant fans?

Should we send a Fatal Five cake to the DC offices?! Or maybe get real nasty and send a Time Trapper cake?

No wait...a Porcupine Pete treat? Even better an Infectious Lass bomb! We will make them all sick! The Mess stink bombs!

Watch out DC...watch out!

Posted by Dain on :

Hmm, is DC our target? On the other hand, maybe we could get real original and be "pacifist" militants or militant pacifists or something. [Razz]

We need to do what the Siegal estate is doing and take a Legion character hostage!

I vote Dream Girl. 'Cause she's hot. Oh wait, she'd probably see it coming... Maybe Shadow Lass?

Hmm... now if only I could convince Harvey Pond of Milford, Conn., that he can sue DC for control of Calamity King, who was really just a rip off of his BoLB character Jinx Boy, then my namesake will be mine! Er... after convincing Harvey to sell him to me, that is!

I'm down with you my militant brother and sister nerds! Let's whine LOUD and PROUD!

Stick it to the Superman!

Do we get militant headwear? I warn ya though, I don't do berets...

Posted by Fat Cramer on :

Raid the comic book stores and rip up all the X-Men comics.

Posted by Dain on :

Except those Storm, Nightcrawler, the Imperial Guard *and* Wolverine appear in! They are "Legion". [Wink]

Unfortunately the official uniform includes a nelly-green beret.

Oh. I may have to rethink this. I'm with Drake I don't do berets. Helmet, antenae, Colossal Boy head gear? Yes. Berets? no.

ok. nelly-green colossal boy head gear.

Grrrrrr and hmmmph.

Now that certainly isn’t the attitude that’s gonna make us feared at all future conventions!

I say, pass me a nelly-green beret and call me…. a militant nelly-green beret wearing Legion fan!

Eh, I'm color-blind anyway, and I've worn stranger things on my head than a collapsed- souffle-pretending-to-be-a-hat.

Sign me up!

NO LEGION DEATHS IN LEGION OF THREE WORLDS!

Well, okay... you can have Lori Morning.... maybe Ansis and The Mess... but that's IT!

Posted by Ricardo on :

I'd have the Reboot LSH off'ed with their heads! The snake thing first, obviously.

Posted by MLLASH on :

Oh, and LSH fans attending SDCC... don't forget, No more Mr. Or Miss Nice Nerd Lad or Lass!

When those snooty Batman, Sandman or Archie fans look down on you, be sure to kick 'em in the crotch, then the face once they fall to their knees in agony.

LSH RULES!!!! Aw yeah Legion!

Posted by MLLASH on :

*hopes that no one notices he stole the "Aw yeah Legion!" catchphrase from TINY TITANS.*

To set the tempo, I'm punching the first Star Trek fan I find right in the face!

And then Abin will rob him blind!

Posted by MLLASH on :

AW YEAH LEGION!!!!!

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

"AW YEAH LEGION" is the Tits!

Posted by MLLASH on :

Make sure you yell it everytime you beat up a snooty fan at the con!

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

I might actually invade the "Watchmen" panel for an 'AW YEAH LEGION' induced beating on some unsuspecting snoody fan/film geek!

Posted by MLLASH on :

And don't let anyone dis the LSH cartoon either! Smash their Batman/Teen Titans/JL Unlimited-loving toon-twerp faces in! AW YEAH LEGION!

Go Militant Legion fans! Bash! Smash!

Posted by lil'rhino on :

Beware of those Sugar & Spike fans though. I hear they're hardcore!

Posted by MLLASH on :

So.... how many stuck-up Bat/Super/X-fan comic geeks got beat up by militant LSH fans? Lots I hope!

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

CJ and I were pretending I was Zack Snyder for a little while (mainly to cut the line in the Geoff Johns panel). If it continued, the plan would be for fans to ask for 'Zack's' autograph and then for me to punch them in the face and burn all the swag they got!

To all those people who say the Legion has dorky names we need to say ... True the Legion needs cool names like Marvel Girl, Invisible Girl, Beast Boy. They are sooooo much cooler!

And whats so "Super" about a man with his underwear above his leggings - which are then tucked into his boots? It really really isn't a good look

[No]

Posted by Ricardo on :

Yeah, when the system tried to dumb down names to Andromeda, Umbra, XS and those Legion on the Run names, the title tanked. This NEVER happened before. All power to dorky LSH!

I did make a small effort to lead a group to the DC booth where we would lock arms and chant "LEGION! LEGION! LEGION!"
