Reports are not totally confirmed, but Rich Johnston says it may happen next summer.

See here .

"A" Legion title...

So if it is not "the" Legion title, and probably not an Animated Legion title, could there be a 3rd Legionnesque book in the works? Hmmmm...

Glad I had already posted this at the Clubhouse otherwise we may have had three threads. [Smile]

So, what do you think he may be working on? J. Torres is doing the animated book (if you haven't seen Michael's update, shame on you). I think we may be getting our All-Star Legion.

excellent!

Imagine... three LSH books - all in different continuities - all at once!

This deserves some sort of signature change, methinks...

If only it turns out to be true. If I recall correctly, Johnston has burned us more than once on a Legion rumor that never came to fruition.

At least Torres has not only confirmed the book but has stated how many stories he's got so far as well as who we can look forward to.

I guess great minds think alike! [Smile]

As I mentioned on the Shooter thread, my George Perez connection continues to say that George will be doing a Legion project in 2007. If that's true than maybe it has something to do with this rumor.

A great way to kick off the 50th Anniversary celebration don't you think? [Big Grin]

Not sure how I missed your thread Scott. I did a search in all the forums from the past few days with the word "Shooter" as my query. It came back with no matches, so I figured a new thread was appropriate...

I think Scott meant The Legion Clubhouse, his Legion news site, not the Clubhouse forum here at LegionWorld.

Thanks Vee, I just reread this thread, and I think you're right.

And Kramer, I think it's cool you pulled the old Levitz v. Shooter thread from the mothballs to keep it all together.

I really hope this happens, but nothing's official yet. Do we have a "fingers crossed" icon???

Hokey smokes! Shooter/Perez?
-swoon-

Ultimate Mordru?
All Star Ferro Lad?

The mind boggles.

That is what I meant, sorry about that. Just got lazy and didn't link it up.

According to J. Torres over at the ComicBloc, he's only doing a few issues of the animated Legion series. So Shooter could well be doing an arc for that series... while I'd kill to see him on an All-Star Legion, an animated version of the Fatal Five/LSH teamup vs the Sun Eater could be a lot of fun1

I'd think based on what Shooter has said in the past that an All-Star book that features a pre-boot style Legion would be the only thing he'd be interested in working on.

Though I wouldn't bet against a larger 50th aniversary theme with multiple adult legions from all the different incarnations.

I think we'd see this book break the top 20. Possibly higher. Even in a crossover-heavy month.

Heck, I'll buy five copies.

I would be in heaven if they had the Legion in Dave Cockrum costumes while flying around in a Legion Cruiser also of his design.

All Star book? Didn't even think of that! Wow. That would be sweet. Though I was hoping for Morrisson's version!

Posted by Kent Shakespeare on :

Morrison can take the second storyline. And Alan Moore after that!

Posted by Eryk Davis Ester on :

I'm betting the Legion shows up in All-Star Superman before much longer.

Posted by Ultra Jorge on :

EDE, you know while I may not like some the Silver Age silly stuff I think Morrisson really hits the bullseye with it in AS Superman. It really is amazing. Sadly I think he may be the only person capable of it. But I would love to see the Legion in ASSM with Miracle Machines, space whales, etc.

I agree. It takes a certain finnesse to really pull off some of the Silver Age concept, and do them well.

I'm thinking along those lines as well. Morrison's trying to cram in everything, and the LSH are too big to ignore.

Morrison's already said the Legion will appear in All-Star Superman.

Chris Batista gives vague comments about Perez potentially doing an All-Star book.

Splendid.

If I wasn't already getting this book, I'd be getting this book.

I just hope we'll see it in 2007.

Did people here totally miss the Shooter story at Newsarama this week:

http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=95501

(the one where Rich Johnston posts and says, "Jim Shooter will be working on a Legion project at DC next year."

Or did I miss the place here where it's mentioned?

Posted by Lightning Lad on :

I don't think anyone mentioned that interview here yet Glen. I didn't see it worth mentioning even if Johnston was pushing his rumor that started this thread.

Posted by Glen Cadigan on :

If I was a betting man, I'd say it was worth mentioning. [Wink]

And nope, I don't have any behind the scenes confirmations of anything. But then, I haven't any denials, either.

Who is this Johnston guy anyway?
