I like Myla, too. I don't remember seeing her in any other stories, however.
I thought it would be interesting if they reintroduced her in the reboot as a living character, so that she and Lyle could be happy without his having to die.

I may be wrong but I seem to recall her appearing in one or two other stories although it may just have been a flashback. I think she appears in the issue where Wildfire disappears and Jacques tracks him down into Lyle's ghost realm.
Another may have been in one of the "Ghosts" stories, but I'll have to go through my back issues to be sure.

I have to agree with preferring Myla over Condo for Lyle, just because of how important she seemed to him in his death story. The Condo and Lyle story in Secret Origins was great in regards to Chemical King's response to Lyle's death, but I still think Myla had garnered more of Lyle's attention at that point. That could, of course, be because most of the Lyle/Condo stuff was added after Lyle died.

My third choice would be Condo the reporter, not Condo Chemical King. It would be interesting to see a relationship with someone outside the Legion (even someone against whom they might have to close ranks on occasion). Also, I dislike a bit the idea of the young protegé getting romantically involved with Lyle - too much potential for idol worship rather than a balanced relationship.

I'm not usually a hopeless romantic, but Myla just seemed like a great way to cushion the death of I-Kid.

True, though Levitz strongly hinted that all was not well with Lyle's spirit during the Magic Wars story.

Final Numbers are in! Looks like the majority of voters are traditionalists with 44% sticking with Condo (Chemical King) as their choice for Lyle's partner while an additional 28% appeared to prefer Myla the ghost girl.
Third place votes were evenly distributed among a handful of other Legion guys. Brainy, Val, Star Boy, & Sun Boy each garnered support from 17% of the voters, followed by Jan & Brin with 11% each.
Seen as less likely partners were Cos & his brother, Pol, Mon, Polar Boy, Power Boy, Rond Vidar, & Superboy with 6% of the vote each.
Those garnering no votes at all included Reep, Color Kid, Gim, Dev-Em, Duplicate Boy, LL, Tenzil, Shadow Kid, & Jo.
For me the most surprising result was that of Ferro. I've seen many comments about the possibility of a relationship developing between Ferro & Val in the current series, yet no one saw him as a possible match for Lyle. Curious.
