With all the negative threads about lesser Legionnaires, I thought it was time we started a thread recounting the deeds of the greatest Legion member, Tenzil Kem!
For example:
ADV. #303-- Just days after joining the Legion, Tenzil (with help from Brainiac Five) pulls off a clever ruse to capture Meglaro's gang and expose their spy hiding in Sun Boy's ankle!
ADV #304-- Using his status as a new Legionnaire, Tenz coaxes shy Vi into speaking her first words ever as she explains to him who Zaryan the Conqueror is!

ADV. 317-- Tenzil befriends Star Boy after he returns to active Legion duty, and is the first Legionnaire to realize that something is not quite up to par with new member Dream Girl! And of course, if she'd just let him show her Plan 78, it would've saved them all a lot of trouble!

ADV. #318-- Tenzil saves the lives of Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad, Triplicate Girl, Lightning Lass, and Star Boy by finding them food after their lifeboat was stranded on an alien world!
ADV. #319-- His clever plan gets the 2nd Squad of Legionnaires safely to Throon without the two old coots noticing!
ADV. #325-- Together with Triplicate Girl, captures Atro, leader of the villainous Brain-Lords of Khann!

ADV. #335-- Saves the entire crew of a spaceship from a horrible firey death caused by Starfinger!
ADV. #336-- Consumes a steam cloud surrounding the Reversed Waterfalls, allowing the Legionnaires to save them from Starfinger!
ADV. #338-- Gives Element Tot the idea to change the Time Trapper's ship to candy, which he then consumes!

ADV. #341-- Is the only Legionnaire willing to call out Brainiac Five for creating Computo and effectively leading to the death of one-third of Triplicate Girl and many others!
ADV. #342-- Heroically saves the planet Koobar from imminent destruction!
ADV. #344-- Escapes Nardo's prison camp along with Blockade Boy, and almost makes it to safety before being betrayed by Weight Wizard and distracted by uncovering the prison camp for girls!
ADV. #345-- Continues to serve as an active Legionnaire even after being super-fatassed by Nardo!

And this doesn't even count all the heroic deeds we never got to read about, including his key roles in defeating Mordru the first time, the Legion of Phantom Zone Kryptonian Villains and the Giant Gorilla of the 30th Century!
You *know* Tenz (and Luornu!) had key roles in all of those!

I believe that is next! Unfortunately, giving the spotty nature of my SLSH collection, I don't own that issue! Any other great heroic deeds while he was crazy, or is the next one his heroic use of Stone Boy to defeat Pulsar Stargrave in the Subs Special (which also displays his humility, given that he let Dag take all the credit)?

Basically with the GDS. Though I don't really recall Levitz using Tenz at all in the book itself after his cure/return to Bismoll.

Pretty sure he doesn't. We don't see Tenz do anything but stand in the background for group shots until Giffen's Subs special, and then TMK--where Tenz showed his heroism in spades once again!

I always assumed that carrot was actually a Dominator bomb sent to Earth to destroy the Legion. Given their vegetable-technology and stuff, it its, and Tenzil's diplomatic 'in the know'-ness allowed him to uncover this plot before it even reached the Legion!

***NOTE: Upon reflection, it seems that after his horrid experiences in the Super-Stalag, Tenzil had a particular interest in freeing the unjustly imprisoned.

Defeats Evillo, breaking his stranglehold on Tartarus. This allows Polar Boy and the other heroes of Tartarus a chance to "clean up" the planet. Saves Saturn Queen from certain death.
