So, it seems the *real* brothers & sisters of the Legion have fallen on hard times, what with DC taking characters who have been crackers for 40 years and suddenly making them black for no other reason than to avoid using previously-established black characters!
Therefore, one must not judge our *real* Legion brothers & sisters when they turned to the holo industry to get some much-needed cash.
Besides, the holos are kind-of fun & campy!
For instance, did you catch Gear in BROTHER FROM ANOTHER PLANET?

Sure, these holos are fun and stuff, but these guys were meant to be heroes. Get 'em back in the Legion already! The holo industry be damned!

We need to give the whole Legion the Star Boy treatment, if only to see Val get to beat down a pair of SPs a la Jim Kelly in Enter the Dragon.
Cosmic Bro Saturn Sistah Lightning Leroy Brainiac Fro ("F" dat blond hair -- nappy fro lad, YO) Colossal MAN (don't call him "boy" -- your moms don't) Ultra G (used to slang dem keys back inna day) Sun Son (Dirk would rock the jheri curl and gold fronts. With diamonds) Lil' V Lyte Lass Triple B Lady of Shadows (with the sista Angela fro standing at FULL ATTENTION. Oh, baby.) Lord L.E. Mental Invisible Kid (kinda like me trying to catch a NYC cab) Projectra (from a planet that's one huge inner-city project, hence the name. But others call her Video Ho behind her back)
And throw in the tokens: Classic platinum-haired Nura Nal a.k.a. BMK Lass (Black Man's Kryptonite) with Star Boy, sellout Uncle Thom as her totally whipped house slave.
Did I forget any? Oh yeah. The aforementioned Val Armorr becomes Black Belt. 'Cuz, y'know, he's black. With a black belt. Yeah. And Reep Daggle = Pimp Shifter Sweetness, 'cause I realized there isn't a single pimp in this reimagination of the LSH into the LOGH: LEGION OF GHETTO HEROES.
BLACK [space] POWER! CIL KILL WHITEY! F THA PO-LICE! FIGHT THE MAN!
On a serious note, a lot of hip hop culture today is the new blaxploitation/minstrel show.
I'd really like to see a 1-shot with these characters... chock full of bad 70s-style "middle-aged white guy writing for hep young black guy" dialogue, of course!
...that's one of the funniest things I've read in many a year, and I've read some funny things!

Whats really bothered me over the yrs is the writers being scared to write these characters as true brothers/sisters. They were scared away by trying not to be to steroetypical. Only Tyroc showed some signs of reality but even he wasnt done quite right.
Given someone black skin & A Fro just doesnt do it alone.
I want to see a Tyroc type character talk like so...using the com to talk with cosmic boy at the monitor board.
