Tinya is ultra-hot! Especially in those bell-bottoms!
Oops! Damn, I did it again! Comet was right!
Posted by Pov of Nine on :
The bellbottoms DO distract from a more serious issue:
Did Tinya wear underwear or NOT??? Even the most ultra-realilst artists, the guys who draw the stitching on gloves, never drew her with a VPL!
How did 30th-cen tech deal with the hygeine aspects of going commando???

BGZTL is famous for it
didn't you catch Phantom Lad's ultra-sexy outfit? it must have been the foundation for nipple-peek-a-boo Cosmic Boy & Tyroc & short-pants Collosal Boy (who must have been showing off his good like any good circuit queen)
BGZTL must be the home of Interdimensional Male

We should talk about more fringe topics ... such as fringe! Do I wear enough these days? Well, fashion mavens?
Substance is overrated. Besides, it's too much to read, as the lack of response to my wordy comments attests

It's time to talk about Supergirl robots wearing bell-bottoms.

I'm against it myself. They should stick to mini-skirts.
Have any male Legionnaires been seen in bell-bottoms?
Posted by dedman on :
i'm sure one of them were wearing some at the Klordny festival

They would have, if Starlin stayed on the book.

Male villain Pulsar Stargrave had flares big enough to eclipse Calorie Queen's!

I drew a sketch of Ultra Boy in Bell bottoms back when I was in High School (but I'd been reading Grell and Cockrum, what would you expect?). The sketch was terrible but the idea was cool.
My very first schoolboy crush was on a sweet young thing in hiphugger bellbottoms and a peasant blouse. **sigh** Still love the look after all these years.

wouldn't Karate Kid have been a natural in hip hugging bellbottoms?

And who wrote that copy? Pre-boot Tinya was in a state of perpetual huffiness, and not at all the patient sort.

"Distaff" side?? Is that like port and starboard?

I didn't know Tinya HAD a distaff.

Did Lu have a duostaff?

Did Tinya's bells go to Bgztl in that picture? Luckily, that was just a one shot.

Bell-bottoms: Beautiful and practical!
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. "It is believed that bell-bottom pants were introduced in 1817 to sailors working on deck. The flare at the end of the pant leg allowed them to be rolled up more easily than normal straight-legged pants. The bell-shaped leg also made the pants easier to remove in a hurry when forced to abandon ship or when washed overboard. The pants may also be knotted at the legs to be used as a life preserver. Absurdly wide hems became fashionable in the 1960s, both for men and women. If a person looks at a pair of bell-bottoms from front or behind, it has the form of a bell or trumpet. Bell-bottoms are sometimes worn by carpenters in order to prevent dust from getting into their shoes. In the modern fashion scene, bell-bottoms were most popular in the 1960s and 70s. They become popular again in 1990s in a reincarnation known as "flares", worn mostly by women."
By women and especially by Bgztlian women. I'm sure Enclycopedia Galactica updates this for the bell-bottom revivals of the 2970s and 3004.

Those sailors. Any old excuse!

So does that mean that PG's Bell bottoms came off as easily as a sailors?

If memory serves, this Perez feature included a few proposed redesigns as part of a 'meet the Legion'-type guide. Don't recall if any were used, tho.

All of the designs are posted in the Encyclopedia.

Tinya's was the only one he got wrong, though it would be a few years before Shady got that particular outfit.

Phantom Girl has been named the new main feature in the Museum of Legion Arts at Bits. Please go there and post your fan fic, fan art, etc.

Are these the only Phantom Girl threads - and her with so many admirers?
Apart from the back-up story which displayed her confused love life, 3boot Tinya has been particularly level-headed, steady, mature and competent. She should be the head of any Espionage Squad. Invisible Kid's behaviour is still questionable - too young - and Cham is peculiar and given to "poor me" attitudes.

Its funny i should see this today. I just got the dvd of the modern masters with George Perez. He spends most of his time drawing a spread page for all the 31 witchblades, and they don't really interview him much, but...
On his wall is the actual colorcopy sheet of the legionairs he did for the digest.

If I recall, I believe Garth wore bell-bottoms at the Mike Grell illustrated wedding with Imra.
