Y'know, the Credo symbol looks a lot like five interconnected, pastel-colored hearts, which form the shape of a blossom in the middle.
Kind of at odds with the group's militaristic and violent mentality, huh?
Was the origin of the Credo symbol ever explained? Was it designed deliberately like this for the sake of irony, or was it just a random design?

I mean, come on -- it looks like they took that design from an early '70s vinyl shower curtain that they found at a garage sale.

It reminded me of a stained-glass church window - probably some association with the Credo name. Pastel colours are a bit odd for such a strident group... maybe they just borrowed the symbol from a love & peace group.
