a friend of mine who writes for an italian important site about comics (www.comicus.it) mailed barry kitson to spill him some news about his mysterious upcoming run on the legion with mark waid. well, kitson answered that he's too busy with his project on the JSA (if i remember correctly, it should be a miniseries), so he's not going to work on the legion, at least not soon i think.
so, who'll be the next legion artist?

Actually, this doesn't necessarily mean Kitson is NOT the next LSH artist. It just may mean it will be a WHILE before the Waid/Kitson relaunch (which, by the way, I'm still not convinced is happening).

true. but at least i think it means that there will be another artist on the legion before kitson. or it could mean that since the end of the legion we'll have to wait several months to see a new version of the title.

Maybe it's true, maybe it's more prevarication. The 6-part JSA MINI-series written by Kevin Anderson is supposed to debut in August. In January 2004, Barry said in a Pulse interview that he was *already concentrating* on the JSA. At a book a month (let's be generous), Kitson may already be done, or nearly so. In fact, it was reported on another board that Kitson started the JSA in 2003 and was now finished (not substantiated). The only other project we know about was the first two issues of Avengers/Thunderbolts, which were already published. The Empire mini ended in December. No other DC project has been announced for him, despite his exclusive contract.
Ask your friend to e-mail him back and ask him what he's doing after the JSA. He might get a more informative answer. Ask him also to specifically confirm/deny plans for a "Waid" Legion.
