Okay, well obviously what happened was that by leaving the Titanet intact (per Dreamer's suggestion), this caused Universo to be connected to Cub once the quantum bubble dissapated, and Cub's "ultra-strong" mind (and that was an unnecessary line, imo) distracted him long enough for the Legionnaires to prepare a counterstrike.

But what exactly would have happened had they disabled the Titanet? Universo presumably would still have lost control of at least everybody off Titan. Would he still have had control of the Legionnaires? Is that why diabling the Titanet would be such a bad thing?

My first thought was that it was booby-trapped since Dreamer saw skeletons standing at the control board in her vision. But maybe that's taking her vision too literally.

This seems to be a pattern with Abnett & Lanning stories. There is a big build up, then one little thing undoes everything.

That is what happened in both Ra's Al Ghul stories and the Robotica story.

I don't think we're meant to know exactly what would have happened if Sensor had shut down the Titanet - we just learn that Nura had a pre-cog flash of her and Sensor as skeletons - and maybe there is more to it - but just that Sensor's "Plan A" would be a disaster. Stay tuned for further developments, I guess.

And so much for planning! We applaud the Steeple team for planning to have 3 members go down while Sensor escapes, via illusion, to free Imra and Nura. Then what? Plan A was to shut down the Titanet and free Universo's conduit for control. There was no Plan B. All three women were surprised by Cub's mental presence, if they even knew what it was. The distraction of Universo which enabled Imra to attack him so the other two (?) could confine him was unexpected. Well, I commend them for taking advantage of a situation which suddenly presented itself.

I'm not sure if Universo's power was somehow increased through the Titanet, if he was feeding off those minds' energies himself or just multiplying his thoughts through each mind, thereby building a more powerful mental process. So without the Titanet, perhaps he would not have been able to control all the legionnaires.

I thought the "You think, therefore I am more" speech made it pretty clear he was gaining power from them somehow. I suppose it could be refering to his sense of self, though. Being in so many places at once.
