Okay, so I was just thinking about the little guy, and his fun-loving attitude, and was wondering why he joined the Legion. In his first appearance, he is said to have volunteered to join any law enforcement organization he can find. But why? Why, given his basic hedonism, would he want to join a law enforcement organization? Wouldn't crime be a lot more fun? Could it be there's more to the little bugger than we thought?

SL will surely have the answer - but I'm guessing (a) protection, since he was in trouble with the SPs and his homeworld, (b) need to be part of a group, since he was from a group-mind sort of place or (c)sheer perversity - here was a fun gang to be part of and maybe he liked to laugh at old Iron Butt.

Just wondering - did Quislet like to play jokes on anyone in particular? He seems likely to have gone after the more serious ones, like Brainy or Blok - or was it open season on everybody?
(Don't have those issues anymore - but this board's discussions keep reminding me how much I miss them.)

I always thought it (Quislet had no sexual orientation and I believe was always considered it) joined the Legion, not out of fear because of running afoul of the SP but because the SP's convinced him joining the Legion would be the best thing for him. And he took to it like a fish to water (or a Hykraian to the Great Mother Ocean).

So I really think he just joined for the excitement or to escape boredom.

My favorite Quislet moment is probably the trial of Brainiac Five, where Brainy predicted everyone's vote except his.

I don't think it was ever stated for sure why my namesake wanted to join a law enforcement group. (I do remember now that Quislet did try to join the SP first and they convinced him to go to the Legion)
