Could someone please be kind enough to tell what story appeared in Superman annual #4? I have all the rest, but I am not sure about this one.

Anytime Lance!

Just rearranged my Showcase shelf (yes I finally had to give over a whole shelf to the series). And in looking at the spine to the Legion issue, I'm ticked. Why is it we have to look at Rokk's ugly fish-bowled face? Why not Garth or Imra instead?

I demand that DC reprint the Legion Showcase with two more spine versions; one of Garth and one of Imra. They know how we like our Legion AR stuff. I'd snap up another two copies just for that change.

It needs to be Imra. Who wants to look at Opie Williams as Lightning Boy? [Roll Eyes] [Wink]

I love my little fish bowl Rokk in pink. He looks good next to little Robin making a green gloved fist and Rex Mason's ugly white profile.

No regrets, Coyote.

Here.

Through Sun Boy (replace Triplicate Girl for Duo Damsel). As shown in the link that Scott provided.

Just bought it yesterday on sale, and got a 20% discount. And it's one of the best bargains I've ever had.

Even though it's black and white, I think giving up color and getting more stories is a great trade-off.

I've really gained a new appreciation for the Adventure Era after reading this; I've read about half of them before at an aunt's place, but I was too young then to fully appreciate the history of these stories. Lightning Lad's death and resurrection, for instance. Or the story of Mon-el, or Dream Girl, or Bouncing Boy. Sure, a lot of these stories were simple, but they were surprisingly imaginative, had nice plot twists and were greatly entertaining.

I can hardly wait for the next Showcase [Smile] Any word on when it comes out?

great to hear a positive review. i didn't get it because, after a fast browse, i felt Forte's art didn't hold up in black and white very well.
a lot of the art in the Showcases suffers for the lack of color, in my opinion. even Ross Andru. a few (like Jack Kirby) look great regardless. he gave his blacks weight.
but after your comments maybe i'll grab one. thanks.
