I missed the Emerald City con this year. I'm terrible with the calendar, I guess. Sigh. I'm hoping someone on the Adam Hughes yahoo group got a Legion sketch, but so far no one has posted one.

Toronto Comicon this weekend. Unfortunately, I won't be able to go. But before the Con I was able to get into the store that was sponsoring a Women in Comics panel.
Gail Simone, Becky Cloonan and Amanda Conner were signing in store and I got Amanda to draw me this Tinya after she autographed a few books.

That's awesome! I Amanda's work! How did you decide on asking for Tinya? Did you get anything from Becky Cloonan? I really like her work on Demo...

Hmmmm. Mark Waid seems to be adding dialogue to convention sketches. Could it be because of what I started in Dallas?

I didn't get anything from Becky cuz I didn't know what to ask for. I did buy one of her trades and have her sign. She did a tiny doodle as part of her autograph.
I got talking to Amanda and asked about her upcoming projects (I know what she and Jimmy and Justin are working on next for DC ) I mentioned that I liked her recent letters pages. She said she loved PG's outfit. So when she asked what I'd like and it was between Tinya and Shady (from the letter's page).
