o.k. i remember this issue from when i was younger i'd say it was about '83 give or take a year.
the issue starts out with a descendent of green arrow..oliver the 3rd giving a tour of the headquarters from a flying skiff. if i am not mistaken eitheir the katar rol, or the shadow thief was infiltrating the headquarters and the issue kinda had a focus on star boy and dream girl.
i loved this issue and want to go back and try to get it again and read the whole storyline..so if anyone knows this issue # or the entire run of the storyline that was going on in it. i would greatly appreciate your help!!
it seems there was also a two page spread of the headquarters blueprint, and i distinctly recall star boy trying to pick up a chip that he could not lift! that was the object attempting to be stole.

That would be "Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes" #320, cover dated Feb 1985. The story was entitled "The Magpie Complex" and Magpie was sneaking into LSH headquarters to steal a circuit/timechip for the Monitor (Monitor was hired by Universo). Star Boy and Dream Girl defeated him before he teleported away.
You remembered a lot of the details! The two page LSH blueprint is there, and Star Boy couldn't lift the chip after he had used his powers on it.
Good luck in your search for it!

Yeah, it's pretty much a stand alone issue, though it's a bit of a distant prequel to the Universo Project storyline a couple of years later.

Sorry, I just checked and it's not one of the issues I have in duplicate. Perhaps someone else here does. If not I'm sure Scott can help you out.

Great back-up story too. Sun Boy gets his romantic comeuppance from a girl with a great hairdo, engineered by Gigi Cusimano (the scam, not the hairdo).

Also has one of the best views in any story of Dawnstar taking off -- here, in search of lost Legion colleagues, with Brainiac Five. (In TLSH 321-323, one of her best stories.)

Glad we could make you feel welcome KIDAASLAN!
And Grey, when I was thumbing through the issue in prepping my response, I saw that Dawny image and thought of you. Didn't know it was one of your favorite shots. You're right, it is a great image!

Kidaslan, that is about the same time I started reading. A couple years earlier but still...it's my favorite Legion era. The early eighties.
