Officially, The Legion ends at #38, and there's been no "official" word about the future of the Legion. We're dwelling on 6 month old rumors about Waid and Kitson and some recent comments by Gail Simone.
You're all caught up now.

i'd actually like to see the return of the title "Legion of Super Heroes" !!
but with regards to the future, i'm not really sure ?? i was pretty much enjoying the current run, and most of the last 10 years or so of the reboot !!
i wonder what TPTB have planned now ......

Now you can be maddeningly speculative about LSH's future, just like the rest of us.

Personally I blame myself, once I start to get interested in a book it seems to get cancelled. (It recently happened with Namor and New Mutants - which is virtually cancelled!). I fear I may be jinxed.
Surely history shows that this book isn't one which stay offs the shelves for long?

Somebody needs to take this title BACK TO THE PAST! This title needs to be brought back to it's glory days of the 1980's. This was a successful tile, it wasn't BROKEN but someone saw a need to FIX it! The reboots haven't worked, otherwise we wouldn't be having this discussion! Bring back the REAL LEGION!!!

Personally, I think the 5 year gap run and the post boot run has caused a schizm in the Legion fandom that will not be placated by a single series. Let the Legion sign on 15 more members, then send half the members to the second universe in a darker, grittier series and leave the silver age half of characters in our universe for lighter, fun stories.
The two groups can meet for a mega-blowout saga every two or three years, and exchange some characters once in a while.
Second Universe: Shikari, Mon-El, Evolvo, Timber Wolf, XS, Gates, Sensor, Spider Girl, Umbra, Gear, Live Wire, Kid Quantum, Chemical King, Blok, Quislet, Tellus, Dreamer, Star Boy, Element Lad, Andromeda, Kinetix, Babbage

That might work, but we'd need another book to properly focus on all of them, and the large cast, while attracting old-timers, might also turn away new readers. And I think Legion sales will have to be much greater for TPTB to even think about giving us a second book.

Personaly I think they started over at the only logical place with the reboot. Trying to go back to any other point would just make things worse now.
