You know, Tamper Lad, you stare at the icons long enough as they go through the "changes", they'd be almost hypnotic...

It's not possible to talk too much about Night Girl's hair. It's like when you add 7 to infinity, you don't get something 7 more than infinity, you just get infinity. So it is also with Lydda's bouffante, whose physical and metaphysical dimensions and import are fathomless.
You know how all those comic book covers shout that the story inside reaches some "senses-shattering" conclusion? Right, as if. This is senses-shattering, people: seeing Night Girl crash through a floor, bouffante-first, her hairdo unaffected, unmoved, imperturbable, like... like GOD.

And, in turn, the Super-Pets are cooler than both groups.
Really, Legion-associated teams' actual quality seemed to vary inversely with the authority and respect they commanded. If there'd been a Legion of Insignificant Microbes or something, it probably could have taken out Darkseid.

The Subs should never let that dopey Star Boy character in! There cool retro status almost went downhill for a time!

The Subs as a concept was historical. Here you have this back-up team of fill-ins, this offshoot team of heroes back in the days before Teen Ttans West, Justice League Europe, West Coast Avengers and 6 different X-teams. Once again the LSH set the standard but due to it being set in the future, it appears to be a follower and not a leader.
Anyhoo, I'd like to see the continuation of the "Subs" concept during the 3boot.
Specifically, I'd like to see that Cos, Brainy-- SOMEone-- has very thorough files on the residents of the commune, and their particular abilities. I'd like to see one, maybe more, flight rings set aside for when/if the help of a commune resident-- or Sub-- is needed. Mission over? The flight ring goes back to the LSH for next time (since apparently the rings are scarce), and the lucky Substitute gets to tell his friends about his awesome stint with the Legion!

I for one know that I'd love to see some version of the Substitute Heroes in the latest Legion comics too. Hopefully one day soon.
