Read about the entire DCU panel here.

The Legion bit -

quote:
* Mark Waid said that the 30-page stories will continue in Legion of Super-Heroes.

"It gives us plenty of elbow room," he said, "although the stories will remain fairly tight, with two or three characters at a time. We're still building to the notion of an interplanetary war."

Waid said the kids are more like agents of chaos, not order.

I think we already knew that last bit, didn't we? The UP is obviously the force for rigid order. The Legion wants change, and change itself is chaotic.

All my D&D characters were chaotic good... except the one time I reeeeally wanted a Paladin.

After getting him through 5 or six levels, and constantly chaffing at having to act strictly Lawful Good, I had the self-pretentious b@$t@rd sacrifice himself to a bunch of storm giants just so I could go back to an alignment I enjoyed. [Big Grin] [LOL]

Your game was that rigid?

I've played Chaotic Good Paladins. I once played a multi-classed Paladin/Thief.

Ah, the geeky memories come flooding back....

(P.S. Thanks for the panel info, Gary!)

From the DCU Panel sumary:
In Hawkman, look for Golden and Silver Age foes to return with a mysterious agenda. "Stuff hits the fan in #45," Palmiotti said. "It changes the book forever."

Sorry about going so far off topic, but I'm sure I remember the solicits for Palmiotti's first issue of this series saying it would change things forever. Does anyone write anything that doesn't change everything forever anymore?

Agreed.

I dispensed with alignments in my campaigns in later years - too subjective.

Here's another nice little All-Star Superman tidbit courtesy of the Superman panel:

quote:
Asked by Berganza if the Legion of Superheroes will show up in the title, Morrison replied, “Well, now that you mention it.”

Gary you forgot the best part of the Waid quote.

"We are so gonna kick the Titans' ass!"

I think I may have to replace my sig line.

Pov, as for alignments in DnD, I always play Chaotic Neutral or Lawful Neutral. Never have played Lawful Good. And my characters usually picked on any Paladins. Can't stand them do-gooders. Our current DM doesn't make us follow the alignment to the 't' but he will keep track of things you do if considered outside your alignment and it can come back and bite you in the butt.

Hot damn! We've got a new Legion book, we've got Loeb showcasing the LSV, and now Morrison is going to use the LSH! What more can you ask for in terms of letting people know the Legion is out there?

All Star Legion may be appearing? By Morrisson? This can be a great thing or terrible thing. [Smile]

So, so much coolness.

I was already in for All-Star Supes, but I am even more in for All-Star Supes now.

Scott, if you don't that as your .sig line, I will.

Miner, I was also going for All-Star Superman. The Morrison Factor is what does it for me. (Never been a big Superman fan anyway.) But an All-Star Legion makes it all the better!
