I'm pretty new here, but I was wondering if anyone ever found out anything on what Tom & Mary Bierbaum were planning to do with there version of the Emerald Empress when she found a second eye. The Legionnaires comic imploded and I never found out what was supposed to happen...

Welcome to Legion World though. We're glad that you have jumped right in. I like to tell newbies that they are required to write a limerick in the limerick thread (Like you would want to write a limerick in a non-limerick thread )But you only need to do it if you want to.

I'm not sure that anyone knows much more than the fact that there would be a re-match between the Legionnaires and the Cera-Empress led Fatal Five.
There's been a lot of fan speculation about a "War of the Fatal Fives" scenario, based on the notion of the Eyes having two different owners (and there being enough former Fatal Five members to make up two rival teams).

I suppose it's moot, but I thought that the idea of two eyes was great and wanted to see where it went (besides the round file at DC Offices)...

In 52, we've seen Lobo in possession of one of the Emerald Eyes of Ekron, and that it's being searched for by the Emerald Head of Ekron. So I wouldn't be at all surprised to someday read a comic book in which Captain Comet has to kick the Emerald Butt of Ekron.
