"For No Better Reason," Part 3 of 4. With power out across Metropolis, Karate Kid is left alone to face the escaping prisoners of the Oasis One. Meanwhile, the plan of the mysterious villains becomes clearer...and it could spell the end of the entire Legion.
32 pages, $2.50, in stores on Aug. 11.

The series finale and the thrilling conclusion to the 4-part "For No Better Reason!" Devil, Arrow, Canary and Lantern have sworn to destroy the Legion on its own turf, and with the Legion's big guns out of the picture, it looks like they just might do it.

I would interpret that as a good sign. A big blow-out finale issue would mean just that, but a regular issue seems to imply a business-as-usual-mentality. Which I would take as a sign of a short hiatus in lieu of all the rumors running around.

IIRC, the villains are supposed to be disguised as 21st century super-heroes. I get Arrow, Canary and Lantern (the blonde guy, I guess), but who is Devil's 21st century counterpart, if any? And which one is the "classic Legion villain" Gail talked about? Devil=Evillo?
Turner's costumed Kara looks spectacular! Dare we hope for a crossover?

Could Devil be the Bat? I can't think of anyone else on the JLA who might give off the impression of a devil besides Batman.

Well, since the other 3 have all had colors removed from their names, I assumed that Devil must be based on the same model.
Color me offbase if you will.
Color Kid.

I bet Ulu saves the day by recoloring the villains, thus changing them from bad guys to heroes!

Presumably "Devil" is the dude saying "Do it now Canary" on one of the preview pages:
