The dynamics of the Legion aren't the same in our current version as they were in the past. Things could be very different as far as pairings this time around.
While we do have Imra & Garth, as well as Jo and Tinya does that necessarily mean that Nura and Thom will become a power couple?

If something drastic happens to Thom, which has been hinted, Nura will become available, perhaps after a suitable period of mourning or adjustment.
In the pre-boot days, she and Element Lad had a funny sort of antagonistic relationship; perhaps they secretly liked one another.
This time around, I'd pair her up with Karate Kid. I think she has become sufficiently reflective herself that she might be more comfortable with an inner-directed person.
But, hey - she doesn't sleep anymore - she'd have time for more than one relationship!

How about Dreamer and M'onel? They both seem to walk around with the burden of too much knowledge -- she of the future and he of the past.
Or maybe she'd be attracted to someone like Brin who's all about the present. Even his "think fast" catch phrase implies a determinist attitude - that the future is in your hands right now and it's up to you to decide, which kinda goes against the basis of Dreamer's powers.

I always picture Dreamer with Star Boy, just 'cause I'm partial to tradition. However ...
1) I think Dreamer and Karate Kid would make a good pair.
2) Next, Dreamer and Brainy might hit it off. After all, a platinum blonde is still a blonde.
3) Dreamer and Tenzil Kem would also be an interesting pair.
Dreamer's strong personna requires her to have a date with an equally strong personality.

In my one and only letter that got published in a Legion comic, I asked for a Dreamer/Tenzil pairing! The editor kinda scoffed at the idea. I thought it was great because they were both supporting characters at the time. Seemed possible. However, I have a traditionalist streak in me, too, so I like seeing Thom and Nura together.
IF Thom was out of the picture though (I'm not *hoping* for that, but...), I'd like to see Nura with Karate Kid.
I've sketched out a preboot fanfic where she was having those private lessons from him, and he actually found himself falling for her. He liked that she was so eager to develop this part of herself despite her other abilities. Something Jecky wasn't as into.... The fun part of the story was having Jecky and Nura spend time together, having it out. Guess who ends up complimenting the other?
Postboot, now, I agree that Val and Nura share the bond of discipline. They could teach each other some things....

I think the real question is... Who doesn't score with Dreamer?
But seriously, I don't really get the feeling that Thom and Nura are an official item post-boot... I don't think their relationship has been fleshed out very well, too much happening off panel or too much time in between them appearing together, they just seem incomplete so far...
That being said, I think they would be a good choice for a "triangle" situation once the Jo/Imra/Tinya thing goes away. I wouldn't mind seeing Brainiac 5 as the foil for Thom in this situation.
